Why tarantulas?
Strangely beautiful and remarkably captivating, tarantulas belong to the spider family Theraphosidae and are larger than the creepy-crawlies people are used to seeing. They have hairy bodies and segmented legs, giving them more of a cuddly appearance than their garden variety relatives. The venom of some species may cause an allergic reaction in a human, much like a bee sting, but for most people, they are completely harmless. Varied in size, color, and personality, tarantulas are fascinating to observe and mesmerizing in their activities.
