Johnny the Homicidal Maniac?
JtHM is a 7-issue comic series by Jhonen Vasquez. The main character (and namesake) of the comic is Johnny C., Nny for short, who lives at a heavenly address in a not so heavenly home. Within this home there is a wall - a very strange wall. A wall that holds something unseen but powerful out of our world. A wall that requires constant painting of a very interesting medium... Over the course of the tale, Johnny interacts with a variety of intriguing and bizarre characters, including a bunny that he fed once, then nailed to the wall, two painted cardboard cutouts of a familiar doughy mascot, an immortal cockroach, and a very toothy Bub's Burger Boy figure, in addition to the little boy that lives next door and the one very special girl that got away. Though the title makes it sound like a brainless slasher-fest of a comic, it's actually a thought-provoking look at what makes people behave the way they do and what niches must be filled in order for reality to work.
