About FlCl
This fanlisting is for the incredible anime/manga series FlCl, also called "Furi Kuri" and "Fooly Cooly". Naota lives a very ordinary, boring life. He is annoyed by the immature adults present in his day to day life, carries around the bat that belongs to his absent older brother, and hangs out with said brother's left-behind girlfriend, who behaves in an uncomfortably sexual way towards him. But one day, all this humdrum monotomy comes to a crashing end - literally. Now, Naota has to deal with a bizarre pink-haired girl armed with a Rickenbacker bass and a yellow Vespa, and all the strange things that keep sprouting out of his head, including a robot that becomes his family's housekeeper. Brightly stylized, frenetically paced, and drenched in metaphor and innuendo, FlCl is a wild ride of an anime that seems like utter nonsense to the uninitiated, but actually holds a complex plot and thoughtful parallels to the most complex part of every kid's life - growing up.
