The title for this fanlisting is taken from the Season Four episode "Primeval". In order to defeat Adam, Willow, Xander, and Giles perform a ceremony to invoke the powers of the first slayer and combine themselves within Buffy to give her incredible abilities. In the ceremony, Willow is Spiritus, the spirit; Xander is Animus, the heart; Giles is Sophus, the mind; and Buffy is Manus, the hand. Hence, the title "Spirit, Heart, Mind, Hand".
